The Georgia Society of Dermatologists convened for a very successful Fifty-First Annual Meeting June 9-11, 2006 at the newly renovated Cloister, at Sea Island, Ga. Our faculty included both Phil Williford, M.D., Director of Dermatologic Surgery at Bowman Gray Medical Center of Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, North Carolina; and John Koo, M.D., Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco. Dr. Howard presented interesting dermatopathology cases from our first three years at Georgia Dermatopathology Associates.

Our state meeting will change venue in 2007 to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., returning to the Cloister in 2008. Our society represents a diverse, interesting and collegial group of professional people. We are actively seeking new members and working to make our state meeting one of the nation's best.
